Coach Davis enters his first year as Head Coach and Director of Wildcat
Aquatics. Ben comes to Wildcat from the Birmingham Swim League in Birmingham,
Alabama and has been a Head Coach for the past 25 years. The Birmingham Swim
League was awarded the United Swimming Club Excellance Program Silver Medal Club
the past three years.
Coach Davis started as the Head Coach and Program Director of BSL in June 1998.
He also served on the Southeastern Swimming Board of Directors for nine years
and as General Chairman for the past two years.
Before Birmingham, Coach Davis coached the Tualatin Hills Swim Club in
Beaverton, Oregon where his team won the Oregon LSC title every year he was
there and won the Northwest Region title seven times. Ben has coached on four
United States National Teams and coached the 1996 Turkish Olympic Team. He has
been awarded nine Awards of Excellence from the American Coaches Association.
Coach
Davis has sent over seventy swimmers to the Junior Nationals and over fifty to
the National Championships. Nineteen of Ben's swimmers have qualified for the
U.S. Olympic Trials. Ben's swimmers have represented the United States at the
Olympic Games, the World Championships, the Goodwil Games, the Pan Pacific
Games, the European Championships, and the World University Games.

Dave
Little

Dave Little is in his sixth year at Wildcat Aquatics and
his ninth year as a swim coach.
Dave grew up in Versailles, KY and graduated from Woodford
County High School, where he played: Baseball, earning All-District Honors as a
Center Fielder/Pitcher; Soccer, advancing to the State Final Four as a Center
Mid-Fielder; Swam, where he held 2 school records, and also played in an adult
basketball league where he won Back-to-Back League Championships, at point
guard.
In the summer of 1999, he started as a volunteer Assistant
Coach with the Cumberland Hill Catfish in the Man O’ War Swim Conference. He
was hired as a full time Assistant Coach in 2000 and took over as Head Coach in
the following summer of 2001. Since taking over as Head Coach, Dave has turned
one of the worst teams in Conference, into a Conference Powerhouse by the summer
of 2005, led them to an Undefeated Regular Season in 2006 and a 2nd
place Conference finish in 2007, their highest ever.
In the Fall of 2002, he started at Wildcat Aquatics as an
Assistant Coach with the Red & White Groups. In May of 2005, Dave took over as
Head Age Group Coach. Since joining Wildcat, Dave has one top 16 National
Qualifier, multiple State Champions, and many KY All-Stars under his belt. He
has twice been selected as a Coach for the KY All-Star (Quad) Team. He also
designs all Wildcat Team T-shirts and SC State A shirts. Dave is very dedicated
and committed to the continued success of Wildcat Aquatics and is proud to be a
part of the best “pound for pound” team in the state.

Dave Kuendig
Dave, a
former UK swimmer and current UK grad student, is an assistant coach for Senior
group. Dave is from Daytona, FL (Forest) and is currently in his third year of
Law school. Dave also participates in triathlons.

Leigh Dalton

Leigh
came to Kentucky via Northern California, where she grew up competing in year
round swimming. As a member of the University of Kentucky Swim team, Leigh
completed four great years as a Wildcat. Her swimming career included 4 All
American Honors in the 1650, a fourth place finish at the NCAA Championships,
and several appearances at the Senior National Level.
In May 1999,
Leigh graduated from UK with a BS in Hotel Management and a Minor in Business.
Currently, Coach Dalton is employed full time at Marriott's Griffin Gate Resort
in Lexington.
Leigh
continues to possess a great love for competitive swimming. She has enjoyed
eight great years with Wildcat Aquatics and has seen many young athletes advance
both in and out of the water. To the deck, Leigh brings an excellent sense of
stroke mechanics as well as a strong, determined attitude!

Kendra Trahan
Kendra swam at UK from 2000-2004. As a Senior, Kendra
placed in the prestigious Nike Cup in the 100 yard breaststroke event.
